LEADERSHIP
Dr. Craig A. Robin is the Chief Executive Officer and owner of EO Solutions. Before founding EO Solutions, Dr. Robin served as the Director of the Directed Energy Project Office within the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, overseeing directed energy technologies.
In August 2017, he was appointed as a Senior Scientific Professional (ST) and Senior Research Scientist for Directed Energy Applications at the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command. He also worked as a Research Scientist at Lockheed Martin Laser and Sensor Systems and as a Research Physicist with the Air Force Research Laboratory.
Dr. Robin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Pacific University, and both a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Directed Energy Professional Society and a member of the Optical Society of America, the International Society for Optics and Photonics, and the Association of the United States Army.
Daron Nishimoto, Owner and Chief Growth Officer of EO Solutions, brings over three decades of expertise in space systems engineering, program management, and business development. With a strong background in physics, Daron excels in designing and integrating advanced space systems, managing multimillion-dollar programs, and fostering strategic partnerships.
Before his current role, he served as Sector Director at KBR, IAI, PDS, where he led technical management and systems engineering efforts for complex ground-based imaging sensor systems and transitioned R&D sensor systems into operational assets for organizations like the Air Force Space Command and STRATCOM. He also founded Pacific Defense Solutions, LLC, managed contracts supporting the Air Force and Space Force, and developed the $35M Multi-mission Deployable Optical System (MDOS) Program at Trex Enterprises. At Boeing, he led R&D technical staff and contributed significantly to space control, missile, and directed energy programs.
Daron holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, has authored over 25 publications, and is known for his ability to lead complex programs, foster strategic partnerships, and drive innovation in the space sector.
Jeff Houchard, Owner, Chief Innovation Officer, and Technical Director for Space Systems at EO Solutions, is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in mathematics, physics, and computer science/electrical engineering.
He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with distinction from the University of New Mexico in 1979 and completed 30 credit hours in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering from the same university in 1988. With over four decades of experience, Jeff’s career is marked by his technical expertise and leadership roles. Before EO Solutions, he worked as the IAI Technical Director at KBR, specializing in advanced algorithm development for Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and providing technical direction across SDA research programs. He also founded Pacific Defense Solutions, LLC, where he led the development of advanced space systems and sensor algorithms.
Earlier, Jeff held senior roles at Boeing LTS Inc., contributing significantly to Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) modeling and analysis. His tenure at Rockwell International involved designing software systems for Free Electron Lasers and space surveillance simulators. Jeff has received numerous awards for his technical expertise, holds a patent for converting interpretive language functions into web applications, and has published extensively on topics such as multiframe blind deconvolution, image reconstruction, optical surveillance tools, and orbital debris detection.
His extensive experience and contributions to Space Systems, Electro-Optics, and Space Domain Awareness have established him as a highly respected professional in the industry.
Kaveh Khalili, Owner and Chief Operating Officer at EO Solutions since March 2023, holds a Master of Science (1986) and a Bachelor of Science (1985) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. With over three decades of experience in space systems engineering, program management, and business development, he oversees the development, design, operation, and improvement of EO Solutions’ products.
He leads efforts in analytical skills, CAD, SolidWorks, static and dynamic analysis, thermal management, and power management, and is responsible for the design, development, fabrication, integration, and testing of integrated hardware solutions. Prior to EO Solutions, Kaveh provided engineering consultancy services from February 2021 to February 2022. At Rocky Research (1991-2021), he led the development of hardware prototypes, managed the High Energy Laser Weapon Support System Program, and contributed to several HEL projects for the U.S. Army and Navy. His earlier career at Stirling Thermal Motors (1986-1991) involved the analysis, design, and testing of Stirling engines.
Kaveh holds numerous patents, including those for thermal management and cooling systems for directed energy weapons. His extensive experience and technical acumen have established him as a highly respected professional in space systems, electro-optics, and space domain awareness.
Dr. Brett Hokr is the Owner and Chief Technology Officer of EO Solutions, a physics and engineering company founded in 2022 specializing in electro-optical technology solutions for multi-domain warfighting capability gaps.
Before founding EO Solutions, Dr. Hokr worked at Radiance Technologies as a Principal Scientist and Technical Fellow, where he expanded the High Energy Laser business area by 300% in less than four years, provided mentorship to a team of 130 people, and served as a system architect and lead engineer on multiple prototype systems. Prior to that, he was a Physicist at the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, leading research for the High Energy Laser Division and representing the Army in technical working groups.
Dr. Hokr holds a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering Technology and Physics from Tarleton State University, and a Ph.D. in Physics from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the Directed Energy Professional Society, the Optical Society of America, the International Society for Optics and Photonics, and the Association of the United States Army.
